Data required
1 data table, Hypermarket (at the bottom of the Tableau Desktop login page),
1 measure, for example Profit,
1 dimension, like Category.
Step 1: Data Preparation
Slide the dimension Category In the Lines,
Swipe the measurement Profit In the Columns,
Create a calculated field and enter the formula:”SUM (0)”.
Step 2: Building the base of the chart
Add the field Measured values In the Columns,
Select fields only SUM (0) and Profit,
Build a double axis and Synchronize the axes,
Hide the header Of the field Profit for better visibility.
Step 3: Rounding the corners
In the Second shelf marker, select the type Cercle,
In the third shelf marker, select the type Line,
Swipe the field Measure names in the tab Path and select only the fields Profit and SUM (0),
Adjust the sizes and colours lines and circles.
Tips
If the circles are not visible or are under the bars, check the order of the fields in double axles (Rows or Columns). Invert them if necessary to ensure that the circles appear in the foreground,
